Eventful Weekend: #BBQ, Wedding, and Car Trouble
*Thanks @pat1huey for helping me*
Well, This weekend was fun during some parts, and not so fun during others.
Friday morning I got up about 8, and got all my cooking stuff ready to go so I could cook for my friends Nathan and Holly's wedding rehearsal. I got my fire started. I seasoned 3 Boston butts. As I was getting everything ready to go, my brother called and asked me if I could meet the AT&T guy at our new office so we could get our DSL turned on.
So, I came up with a brilliant idea. I took my wireless digital thermometer, and my webcam, and set it to stream over the internet so that I could watch my temperature as I was gone to the office. All that worked out great. I got the butts cooked, occasionally checking them as I would pass by the house doing other errands and watching the temperature remotely.
When I was transporting the food to the wedding rehearsal dinner, my water pump on my Jeep went out about a mile from the church. I made it to the church, and everyone enjoyed the BBQ.
I caught a ride with my best friend's parents. They picked my jeep up on their car trailer, and dropped me at my grandmother's house. Early that morning, Patrick Huey (@pat1huey) came to pick me up so we could get a new water pump and put it on before the wedding started. Pat fixed my Jeep in about 1.5 hours. Thanks again @pat1huey!
The wedding was beautiful. Congrats Nathan and Holly!
Then, after my jeep was fixed and the wedding was over I came back to Jonesboro, and went to work in the new office, getting it ready for business. After that, I came home and passed out.
